I completed this abstract about four days ago - still too wet to pull off the easel:
Variation on Mardi Gras No. 3 oil on canvas, 24x48"
The lighting isn't great, and this isn't the "official" shot for posterity, but it's hard to keep the glare off the lamp black I use. With this painting, I tried to capture some of the energy and color of Mardi Gras. From the title, you may have guessed correctly that there are at least two more Mardi Gras canvases planned. Both will be larger than this one.
