recently finished

I finished this expressionist piece yesterday:

Parallel, acrylic on canvas, 40x30"

I know it looks like something I could paint in a day, but these works take a while. I paint a bit, study/squint a bit, let it sit, paint some more, change the orientation, and so on, over the course of a week or a month (or two). This canvas has another painting underneath, and sometimes that previous image informs the evolution of the abstraction.
