November 2024 newsletter

The TimmonsArt Biz Newsletter (November 2024)

A new endeavor.
A couple of months ago, I formulated a plan to offer for sale items in my studio that I've created, including small paintings, and that have my work and designs on them, like some fantastic coasters. Also on offer are prints, framed and un. I'm calling my e-tail site The Blue Poppy Market, and you can access it here: bluepoppymarket.com. New items are being added all the time, and there are some great holiday gift ideas on the site.

From the easel.
I've been working on some smaller canvases for the holiday season, mostly cocktails and desserts. These canvases are available at ADC Fine Art in Cincinnati . . .

And these are available at KORE Gallery in Louisville . . .

All are oil on canvas and measure 12x12". Prices vary.

Recently, I had an urge to try portraiture again and wondered if there was a way to merge minimalism with geometric abstraction. I consulted Copilot, Microsoft's AI generator, and it came up with some dynamite suggestions. Here's the first (work in progress, oil on canvas, 24x24") of what I hope will be a successful series . . .
She's about halfway completed. I'm throwing some curves into my geometric abstraction, as you can see. I'm still painting them with straight-edged brushes though. I probably should experiment with other types - might speed things up.

New digital designs.
I'm continuing to develop designs and ideas in AI, mostly for my Art Nouveau and Desert Seraphim series. Here's some new stuff . . .

And I'll leave you with an Art Nouveau Thanksgiving design I just finished . . .
