Summer is definitely upon us. And the usual critters in our garden are taking their sweet time showing up this year. It's been stormy and rainy, so maybe they're on a weather hold. Our butterfly bushes have exploded into bloom, so the food is here. I've had luck with butterflies a couple of times . . .

And there are fawns around, but they're not staying out of the woods long enough for me to get a photo.

LA Exhibit
Two of my Masked paintings are headed to Los Angeles mid-September for an exhibit called 'Voltage of Hope' sponsored by the Pop-up Project (The Pop Up Gallery | Contemporary Art Exhibitions).

My exhibition package includes online exhibition on Artsy for one year and a temporary exhibition on the organization's website.

Harrison County Arts, Corydon, IN
My work has once again been selected for inclusion in Harrison County Art's Annual Regional Juried Exhibition. This time, it's one of my Flower Head Ladies: Parrot Tulip Head (digital collage), nicely matted and framed . . .

And speaking of Flower Head Ladies . . .
Two of my Ladies were featured as cover art for recent articles published by The Palisades Review (The Palisades Review).

Fine art photography

I've loved photography since I got my first camera at 11 years old. A Polaroid Swinger! I've taken photography classes here and there but never ventured into black and white photography or fine art photography. So I'm trying to educate myself, and I took a short jaunt in the blocks around my Louisville gallery. I got one image that might be promising. I do love an abandoned building.
